FAQs

It is important that we have a few ground rules though to ensure we maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Please take a seat in the raised lounge area which will be our primary dog friendly area. If this area is full please wait to be seated by a member of our team.

Please keep your dog on a lead at all times

Please ensure your dog is towelled off before you come in if he or she is wet (we provide towels if required)

We accept that with other dogs around your dog may take a little time to settle but continued periods of barking are not acceptable. In this case we may ask you to give your dog a wee break and try again soon afterwards.

We provide a wee treat or two for your dog at our dog station, please help yourself. Bowls of fresh water and poop bags are available on request.

Thanking you in anticipation for your compliance.

Our Location

There are several ways to find us - here’s the most straightforward. From Pitlochry Main Street (Atholl Road), drive or walk up West Moulin Road for 200 yards and turn left into Strathview Terrace (You will have passed the Co-op on your right hand side).

Please follow the road safely if you are on foot as there is no pavement here. After a further 200 yards turn right on to Golf Course Road and follow it until you reach The Red Deer Pub and Restaurant having passed the Cuilc duck pond on your left.

Local Walks & Activities

Local Walks

Open from 9am till late, Red Deer Pub and Restaurant is the ideal starting, mid-way or finishing point for several local walking routes. We are a perfect stop off on the popular circular walk from the Main Street - Atholl Road, round through the village of Moulin and back down to Pitlochry again.

Alternatively, if it is something more strenuous and with even more spectacular views you are looking for, then your paths for Craigower or Ben-y-Vrackie could either start or end with a meal here. Both of these climbs require a certain level of fitness and experience so please do ensure you are properly informed and equipped before you set off.
